About

Abigail Morgan Cookyer

I’m Abigail Morgan, a 31-year-old home cook from the United States, and the voice behind Cookyer. If you had told me years ago that I’d be sharing recipes, simple remedies, and little kitchen victories with thousands of people, I probably would have laughed while burning something on the stove.

My journey into cooking didn’t start with perfection, it started with curiosity and a lot of trial and error. I grew up in a busy household where meals were more about convenience than connection, and for a long time, I carried that habit into adulthood. It wasn’t until I began paying closer attention to my health and well-being that I realized how powerful simple, homemade food could be. I didn’t want complicated, intimidating recipes, I wanted real food that felt doable after a long day.

So I started small. A soup with just a handful of ingredients. A natural remedy my grandmother once mentioned. A breakfast that didn’t come out of a box. Some attempts were amazing… others, not so much. But every mistake taught me something, and every small success made me fall in love with cooking a little more.

Cookyer grew out of that exact experience. I created it for people just like me, beginners and home cooks who want to eat healthier without feeling overwhelmed. I believe cooking shouldn’t feel like a chore or a science experiment. It should feel approachable, forgiving, and even a little fun. You don’t need fancy tools or hard-to-find ingredients, you just need a starting point and the confidence to try.

My recipes focus on what I call “real-life simplicity.” Meals that are nourishing, practical, and adaptable. I love using natural ingredients not only for cooking but also for simple remedies that support everyday wellness. Whether it’s a comforting dish, a quick healthy snack, or a soothing homemade remedy, everything I share comes from my own kitchen and my own learning process.

I’m not here as a perfect chef, I’m here as someone who’s still learning, still experimenting, and still occasionally overcooking the garlic. But that’s the beauty of it. Cooking is a journey, not a destination.

If you’re just starting out or trying to build healthier habits, you’re in the right place. We’ll keep it simple, we’ll keep it real, and most importantly, we’ll enjoy every step of the process together.
